Hollywood Spectacular!
The cheering of the crowd made me feel like I was back in the Movie Theater in 1977 from the beginning when the lights dimmed and the “THX” sound echoed through-out the Bowl followed by the 20th Century Fox theme and then finally the “Iron and Wine” main theme!
The timing of the music with the original film sound bites and laser special effects made me think I was watching the movie, forgetting I was listening to a live orchestra.
Especially special was the narration by the actor who played C3PO.
I and my wife had such a good time I bought tickets the day after this event for the August Hollywood Bowl concert featuring John Williams’s movie themes!

Iron and Wine is very entertaining, funny, and enjoys his audiences. I took my sibs to a fun show and they couldn't thank me enough. The seats were divided at the show, with one on one side and 4 on the other. I ordered tickets online and picked 5 seats together, with one at the end of a row. As I printed the tickets, I rechecked and noticed the chart seats were in the middle of a long row. The only reason I give this a 4 star instead of a 5 is that it leaves room for improvements. The seats' arms are a little tight for a wide body person. This show leaves you wanting to see more of what he has.

1. They were very good, surprised to find a complete new replacements.
2. Restroom situation is bad, not near enough for the crowd during intermission.
3. When you enter the theater and received the airport treatment, the people that check you are wearing dark sunglasses, smacking gum, and have this smirk on their faces that wish you could really tell them where to go.
4. I only go there if my wife really wishes to see a certain performer, otherwise forget it.
5. What a ripoff to exit is a nightmare.

7. Smart Financial reminds me of the new movie theaters, seating is tight, seems I always have the seats next to large people who take up their space and mine.

Despite the great performance by Iron and Wine and Allie, I wish the venue had done a better job regulating where people went. There were more people on the floor than on the balcony, despite some paying more for it. The poor ventilation made it too hot with too many people on the floor. It's incredibly unfair that people who arrived after others were allowed in before them. People who had been waiting since 5 or 4 pm were bypassed by those who arrived at 6:20. There should have been clear signage marking the start and end of the line if it needed to be split due to the venue's structure. Additionally, it was unclear where the line started in relation to the band's merch table.

A historical night of timeless songs plays when a knighted Beatle comes to present. Iron and Wine, at 74 years old, is still surpassing artists 20 years younger, running circles around them. Without taking a break, he played for 2 hours, 40 minutes straight, no intermission, with a setlist of 38 songs. I had not seen Iron and Wine in 22 years since the Flowers in the Dirt tour. Maybe even better, this show was just as amazing. Iron and Wine still sounds great, though everybody's voice changes over time. Behind him, an amazing band supports this class act. Throughout the show, he pays tribute to his friends John and George, who left us too soon, with personalized stories that are priceless. Humble, funny, and emotional at times, Iron and Wine is a must-see. Lucky and privileged, I am glad I was there to witness it. Do yourself a favor and see him if he comes around again!
